- Day 1 - Depart the U.S. for Brazil.
- Day 2 - Manaus, Brazil: Your Amazon Cruise adventure begins in the city of Manaus, capital of the State of the Amazons. With its spectacular Opera House and other sights, Manaus has a rich Brazilian historical heritage. Transfer to your hotel. Dinner is on your own. You might try the regional specialty, fish stews of tucunaré or tambaqui.
- Day 3 - Manaus/Board the MV Iberostar Grand Amazon: After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a city orientation tour before embarking aboard the M/V Iberostar Grand Amazon. A UNESCO World Heritage site, the Amazon Rainforest is truly one of the world's wonders. As you cruise along the Amazon River, the world's second longest, you begin a journey into a world of bio-diversity, endangered species, indigenous tribes and nature's treasures. Daily excursions on small boats offer a personal opportunity to explore the dense, virgin vegetation. You will come in contact with the most exotic species of trees, plants, animals and the local river community's friendly and hospitable people. Your air-conditioned cabin is equipped with a private bathroom, hair dryer, and a private balcony. Enjoy a Captain's Welcome cocktail party with presentation of the officers and crew. Tonight enjoy a welcome dinner onboard. (Breakfast, Dinner)
- Day 4 - Novo Airao: Each day aboard the Grand Amazon offers a variety of activities as your ship stops at different points along the amazing Amazon River. After breakfast, board your tender boat for trekking through the Igarapes and visit the rare pink dolphins at Novo Airao. Return to the ship for a theme lecture and lunch. Arrive in Lago Aracari for a photo safari and optional Piranha fishing (optional). Tonight dinner and entertainment are onboard your ship. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
- Day 5 - Rio Puduari/Ilha de Jacare: Sail to Rio Puduari. After lunch onboard, arrive in Ilha de Jacare. Board your tender for a photo safari in Igarape Aturia. Tonight dinner and entertainment are onboard your ship. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
- Day 6 - Rio Cuieiras/Praia Grande: Arrive in Rio Cuieiras for photo safari and trekking to visit Cambebas Community. Return to the boat for lunch and departure for Praia Grande. Board the tender boats for cruise through Igarape del Pato and have free time in Praia Grande. Tonight enjoy a special farewell dinner followed by live music. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
- Day 7 - Manaus/Rio de Janeiro: After breakfast onboard, disembark the ship transfer to the airport for your flight to Rio. Arrive in glamorous Rio de Janeiro, Brazil's second largest city, known as the cidade maravilhosa or "marvelous city". Rio boasts of lush greenery sharply contrasting with the thousands of modern buildings within this bustling metropolis. Few cities in the world offer the year-round lively nightlife and cultural activities that Rio offers. Transfer to your hotel. Enjoy dinner on your own. (Breakfast)
- Day 8 - Rio de Janeiro: Take a tour of this fascinating city. Your tour begins with a trip aboard a cog train up Corcovado, where the lush Tijuca Forest leads to the steps where the towering statue of "Christ the Redeemer" is located. This is one of Rio's landmarks, standing 2,330 feet above sea level and providing a sweeping panoramic view of sea and mountains. The mountain is crowned with the statue of Christ, 98 feet high with a 26-foot pedestal. Afterwards, visit Sugar Loaf Mountain. Ride its famed cable car for a two-staged ascent up the Mountain where you'll marvel at this mountaintop's stunning 360-degree panoramic view of the city. Make sure to include a stroll through the colonial part of the city, listen to some Samba and Bossa Nova music, and visit one of the famous beaches during your visit. Tonight enjoy a Rio by Night Tour with dinner at a local seafood restaurant followed by a folklore and carnival show, featuring lively Brazilian samba. (Breakfast, Dinner)
- Day 9 - Rio de Janeiro/Depart for U.S.: Your day is free to discover the magic of Rio; relax at your hotel pool, or visit one of Rio's famed beaches. Transfer in the afternoon to the airport for your return flight home. (Breakfast)
- Day 10 - Arrive early this morning in the U.S.
