Canyon Ranch Health Resort

Those of you who didn't go to Canyon Ranch in Lenox Massachusetts missed out on a fantastic trip. We all came home thinner, happier and with the resolve to continue with some of the positive things we learned. The buildings and grounds are very elegant, but the atmosphere is casual, friendly and very professional. Also, you never know who you'll be rubbing elbows with at the spa. Joan Lunden, Formerly of NBC Good Morning America was there and is a frequent visitor. The only problem everyone encountered was what class to attend (they offer about five classes each hour), while working in facials, massages, manicures, hair etc. into your daily schedule. Wouldn't it be great to have this problem every day.

The food was excellent, and the presentation was like a work of art. Mealtimes were an adventure. You could sample one dish you really liked or you could order half portions of two different things on the menu. This was a big hit at dessert time. All this and we still lost weight. During our stay the fall foliage was at its peak. What a sight--red, orange, and gold everywhere. Canyon Ranch had a complimentary two hour tour to some of the local parks and national forests so that we could enjoy the colors. Can't wait to go back next fall.
